If you are looking for a circular walk from Brixham you can do Brixham to Broadsands Beach returning via Churston which is about 3hrs including a coffee stop at the beach!
This is a continuation from the Elberry Cove Walk. At the far end of Elberry Cove take a small path up a few steps until you come to a large open grassy area with lots of benches facing the sea. Walk across this area away from the Cove.
At the other end of the this grassy area you will see Broadsands Beach - take the path down to the promenade. There are 2 cafes on this beach and public pay toilets. There are also outdoor showers and dog water bowls. When the tide is out this is a fairly sandy beach and is used a lot of kayaking and paddle boarding (there is a rental place on site).
There are 2 lovely viaducts behind Broadsands Beach and if you hang around for 30 mins or so you will catch the steam train going past! If you would like to continue along the SW Coast Path, head towards the far viaduct and you will find a path thats heads towards Goodrington Beach which criss crosses the train track - lots of great train views!
To take the cicular route back to Brixham via Churston you need to go back up to the grassy area in the direction of Elberry Cove but head towards the SW corner of the field and through a gate to the path. Almost immediately this opens out onto a track which you are effectively crossing and then carrying on straight onto another path. This path leads to a metal barrier which you go though and then continue along the path between houses on the RHS and a horse field on the LHS. Keep walk straight on.
You will come to the golf course in front of you. which you cross - just keep going straight across (looking out for balls) until you reach a grassy bank on the LHS (shown) which is the wall of a house. Once you come to the end of the grassy bank take a left turn which will bring you out on a road which you follow along.
Keep following the road until you bend to the right and walk into Churston Village which has a very pretty church and the Churston Manor Pub (dog friendly indoors and out). In front of the pub turn left and head towards Bascombe Road. Take a left on Bascombe Road for about 20 yards.
Then turn left over the stone stile where there is a sign for Brixham 1 3/4 miles. Walk along a long path back towards the sea - you are basically heading back towards Churston and Fishcome Coves at this point.
You come to a sign and information board about 'The Grove' - there are options here but the quickest route is to take the path to the right diagonally through a field - it is well trodden! At the far side of the field you re-enter the woods above Churston Cove. When you come the next information board (on your LHS) you are back at the entrace to the woods - take a right turn down the path between the 2 holiday camps towards the Battery Museum and then left to go back to Brixham through Battery Gardens.
