With the port being the focal point of Brixham there are plenty of things to do on or in the water - here are 10 of them!!
1) Go swimming! Many people swim off of Breakwater or Fishcombe Beaches however there is also a saltwater pool - Shoalstone Pool (https://shoalstonepool.com/) The pool is free and there is a great cafe/resaurant above it although it gets very booked up. There is also a tiny sandy beach between Breakwater Beach and the outdoor pool which is only sandy at low tide but great for taking the kids or dog and going for a swim or making sand castles!
2) You can rent paddleboards/kayaks on Breakwater Beach (https://brixhampaddleboards.simplybook.it/v2/) or on Broadsands Beach (https://www.broadsands-watersports.co.uk/)
3) Not strictly on the water but combine a sauna with cold water swimming experience (https://halogico.com/book-a-session/) - Ross brings his mobile sauna to Brixham next to Shoalstone Pool and provides a very envigorating sauna/cold waer dip experience
4) Take a tour of the harbour on a jetski (https://www.aquajetstorbay.co.uk/)
5) Go dolphin watching (https://www.funfishtrips.co.uk/brixham-wildlife-sea-fari-cruise/) - these guys also do other types of boat trips and have an office next to the Prince William pub offering options
6) Take a fast boat trip on a rib https://www.facebook.com/southwestribrides
7) get the ferry to Dartmouth (daytrip)https://www.westernladyferry.com
8) Get the ferry across the bay to Torquay https://www.westernladyferry.com/
9) Go sea fishing https://kellysherocharters.com
10) Buy a crab bucket and line and hang over the seawall to catch crabs (catch and release) - please get an ecofriendly line as the plastic ones that get lost get caught in the wildlife when all the tourists have gone home!
